The Power of Roses: Experience the magic and elevate your self-care ritual
Roses have long been known to induce positive endorphins and feelings of well-being.
Roses aren’t just for romance and gardens; their oil has been used for centuries in beauty products, offering benefits for your skin and overall wellness. Did you know roses have the highest vibrational frequency of any living thing? It’s true! I wrote all about it in detail on another blog post HERE. Because of my enchantment with roses and their ability to bring so much joy and actually raise your vibration, I also use a lot of cosmetics with rose oil in them. These are my favorite skincare products, non-toxic candle, rose tea and cocoa truffle bar. You’ll find each of these things in my home right or car. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Aura Bora Cactus Rose sparkling water. This bubbly drink is floral and refreshing - a perfect drink anytime you want some flavor, but no alcohol. I used to find it locally in Northwest Arkansas, but lately I’ve had to order online.
Aesop’s A Rose by Any Other Name is one of my all-time favorite body washes. It’s a really gently cleanser with rose oil that smells, and feels, divine.
Touchland’s Glow Mist Rosewater is super moisturizing for a hand sanitizer. I first discovered this at Sephora, but have found it at Ulta too. I like the slim design because it fits nicely in any small handbag. It’s not overpowering and trust me when I say it smells authentic, because I used it on a family hike + picnic and couldn’t keep the bees away!
Alteya’s whole rose buds are 100% organically grown and hand-picked directly from Alteya’s family rose farm, located in the heart of the Bulgarian Rose Valley. The tea I drank and loved for years from local company Onyx Coffee is no longer in production, but this one is light and sweet too.
Weleda is a great, clean beauty brand that our whole family uses. I like the wild rose pampering body lotion for daily use because it’s pretty light. But the best part is it’s free from parabens and phthalates, and also synthetic preservatives and fragrances. I carry their ultra rich “skin food” hand cream at all times.
Mario Badescu face spray is a multi-purpose face hydrating mist with Rosewater and Aloe Vera. For $8, it’s worth a try! I originally found this at a luxury retailer years ago I think. But it’s become so popular it’s at Sephora, Target and many other places these days. I use it right after showering while my face is still kind of wet. It helps keep my moisturizer in!
My favorite candle to use while meditating is the Canopy scent by Otherland, and when I discovered this Daybed scent - rosebud, peony and pearwater - most other rose-scented candles I owned smelled waxy and fake. I threw them away!
Creed’s Carmina is my newest perfume - thanks to my mom for gifting it to me for Christmas! I love it so much and although it’s a bit pricey, I’ll never not own it. The bottle is beautiful and its floral-woody scent with top notes of black cherry, pink pepper, and saffron make it a fragrance to wear on repeat.
Herbivore’s Coco-Rose exfoliating body scrub looks pretty in pink sitting on the counter and a little goes a long way. I have to keep my daughter from taking it all the time.
Honey Mama’s Lavender Rose bar is the sweet treat you can feel good about eating. It doesn’t have preservatives or stabilizers so it has to be refrigerated. No fillers or soy lectin. It has very few ingredients. You can find these bars at Whole Foods or Natural Grocers. My kids say this one tastes “like a bath bomb” because of the dried rose petals I guess, but that’s great because it’s the one chocolate thing of mine they won’t eat. Their favorite bars are the peanut butter, coconut fudge and Oregon mint.
When reading the ingredients list, I found that several of the skincare products and perfume use Damask rose oil. Let me know if you try any of these or have other favorite rose products you’d add! I would love to know.
